The Hearth and Patio store started out as The Chimney Shop in 1978. When the business outgrew its first location, they built a new store on Monroe Road. The name was changed to The Hearth and Patio as the store began offering outdoor furniture as a summer compliment to the winter-based fireplace product. Mildred Marze, an original employee of The Chimney Shop, and her husband Don Marze purchased the business in 1985. Bought XO gas grill from here, suggested by Wayne, and installed by Tray. Very pleasant experience all the way through (service, install & equipment all top notch). And this grill is next level for sure.
Wayne helped us pick out the perfect fireplace insert and Tray and Chase did a wonderful job on the install. They were all very easy to work with and we are very pleased with everything.
This was a really great store! The merchandise was exceptional, things were reasonably priced, the service was top-notch, and many of their items were definitely one of a kind. It's hard not to go back there and browse but seriously, I purchased a lot there and every item I received was perfect.
Stopped by looking for a gas fireplace unit for our mountain house. We were helped by Donna Spurr who took her time to turn on and show us many units. She gave us a few brochures when we left to lookover. We decided on the unit we wanted and called her back for a quote. She quickly sent it out. We decided on the unit we wanted but the lead time was two weeks which was beyond our timeline. She then offered us an open box unit that was better than the one we first looked at to purchase.
